"I thought that we were fine..." 🌟

                    we already have everything?

Steve had these thoughts running through his mind as we began the search for a new home. You see, in a couple, one person may be at one stage of self-actualization, while the other may be at a different level.

Steve and Channing had cherished the home they’d lived in for years, but... something felt incomplete. 🏡 They couldn't quite put their finger on it, but deep down, they knew they’d recognize it the moment they saw it.

Our journey to fulfill their dreams began, and before long, we focused on neighborhoods offering homes with spacious lots that could bring their backyard oasis to life. 🌳🌞 It was clear, even if they hadn’t realized it yet—they were in search of something deeper. They were chasing a dream, a sense of self-actualization. This wasn't just about moving; it was about realizing a part of themselves they hadn’t fully explored.

📚 Self-actualization is the pinnacle of needs. As a great real estate agent, recognizing this in a client is key. For Steve and Channing, it wasn’t about finding a house—it was about fulfilling a family vision. That large backyard, perfect for a pool and spa, spoke to their desire for peace, family connection, and a place where their four children could create memories. They wanted their kids to stay close, to have friends over, and enjoy their home as a haven for fun and love. 💖👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

An excerpt from my book, The Architecture of the Real Estate Practice, provides insight:

“Maslow’s concepts can be used to explain how the Smart Agent can better understand buyers’, sellers’, and investors’ motivations. Exploring Maslow’s philosophy of human motivation provides insight into how to work with various types of Buyers and Sellers depending on where they are in satisfying their needs and wants. What motivates them to be who they are and do what they do? It is helpful for the Agent to understand if a client is at a self-actualization stage or is still focusing on other basic needs to be met.

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a model that organizes human needs into a pyramid with tiers arranged from top to bottom. At the top of the pyramid is the tier of Self-Actualization. This tier includes people who have surpassed the fundamental needs and wants of the lower tiers and are now striving toward self-fulfillment and completeness. For these individuals, the pursuit of self-actualization becomes a significant goal. They have a strong desire to achieve personal growth, creativity, and overall fulfillment, which they perceive as the ultimate level of achievement.”

Our search led us to the serene, gated community of Starwood in Frisco, Texas. 🌟 This master-planned neighborhood offered exactly what they were looking for—beautiful homes with large backyards, family-friendly spaces, and a sense of belonging. Steve and Channing toured four incredible homes, but one stood out, sparking their imagination. Steve said with a grin, “You could play soccer in this backyard.” ⚽️

Channing fell in love with the traditional style—natural wood cabinets, warm floors, and elegant staircase banisters. The layout was perfect, and the master bedroom offered a peaceful retreat from the world. Steve found his own haven in the study and library—a place to reflect, study the Bible, and work from home when needed. 📖💼

This was it—the home that made the move not only worthwhile but essential. 🏠

I've always believed that people don’t just find homes—they find answers to longings. A home becomes the key to something they’ve been missing, a space where their dreams and family connections thrive. 🌟✨

The contract went smoothly, and since Steve and Channing had purchased their first home in Frisco with the intent of one day moving on, they were able to pass their beloved house to another family in no time. As they settled into their new home, they once again expressed their gratitude for our support and service. They became Raving Fans once again, and we’re excited for the bright future ahead as we continue to offer a service that goes beyond the ordinary. 💫🔑

We waited for their next referral.
